Disney’s upcoming cruise ship, the Destiny, is set to have a lot of really exciting spaces. But my personal favorite is De Vil’s Piano Lounge, inspired by the one and only Cruella de Vil. Destiny's overarching theme will be Heroes & Villains, and will feature hit franchises like The Lion King, Hercules, The Incredibles, and Doctor Strange, among others. But thanks to its hilarious backstory, swanky design, and delicious cocktails, De Vil’s Piano Lounge is the piece de resistance.
In a video, Disney has given us some insight into the de Vil’s backstory. Naturally, it’s a glamorous and dastardly one. In the video, Cruella and her henchmen discover that a new piano bar is opening up downtown. It’s the hottest spot in town, and its prized showpiece is a dalmatian-spotted grand piano. Obviously, Cruella can’t help herself, and she decides she positively needs that piano. A grand heist is planned, and de Vil, after a few bumps and bruises, escapes with the piano.
That iconic dalmatian-spotted piano has, through very legal and non-corrupt ways, found itself in Cruella’s very own piano lounge on the Disney Destiny. The lounge has also been designated as an adult-exclusive space, meaning grown-ups can come together, mingle, enjoy a fabulous drink, and listen to great live music without any crying babies or fighting kids.

The lounge will serve martinis, wine, champagne, and specialty cocktails that look positively marvelous, and frankly, pretty damn unique. Take the Fashionista, for example. This chilled, milky cocktail is made with strawberry, banana, agave, lime, and Patron Cristalino. If you don’t drink alcohol, there are also some great non-alcoholic options, like the Fearless Sir Galahad. This mocktail is made with non-alcoholic bourbon, barrel-aged maple syrup, and Angostura bitters. Plus, it’s finished off with aromatic smoke, making it one of the most visually striking drinks on the menu.

On top of the great drinks and live music, the lounge will be decorated with Cruella’s trademark Regency-era style and adorned in her iconic colors of red, white, and black. Plus, they’ll be serving up a few treats as well, like strawberry shortcake popcorn.
If you want to check out De Vil’s Piano Lounge, you can book a cruise on the Disney Destiny, which launches November 20, 2025, from Fort Lauderdale, with itineraries throughout the Caribbean.
