The destination of this flight was so secret, only the pilots knew where it was going. Back in February, Scandinavian Airlines offered tickets on a flight with no destination. No, this wasn't something from the TV series Lost and the passengers did not end up on a mysterious island caught up in an eternal struggle between good and evil. Unlike Lost, this journey had a satisfying ending that everyone involved was happy with.
The flight took off from Copenhagen, Denmark with a completely unknown destination. Everyone who bought tickets in February, which reputedly sold out in under four minutes, only knew when and where they were leaving. They couldn't even book hotels, which the airline did assist with in an equally mysterious fashion. All of the flight crew were also kept completely in the dark. Naturally, the pilots were told, who are the main people you would want to have be aware of a plane's destination.

Much to the delight of everyone on board, Scandinavian Airlines' mystery flight left Copenhagen on April 4th and landed Seville, Spain. Passengers stayed in the city for three nights, giving them time to experience the beauty of Seville. It has a rich cultural heritage, including being the birthplace of Flamenco. On top of that, the food scene in Seville is a huge draw thanks to a thriving tapas culture informed by Andalusian cooking styles, techniques, and evolution.
This is not the first mystery flight Scandinavian Airlines. In April 2024, the airline launched its first flight with a completely unknown destination, this time touching down in Athens, Greece. Reputedly, the passengers cheered when the announcement was made on the flight. That's not hard to believe as traveling to Athens is a dream destination for millions of people around the world.
