Alan Karmin is an award-winning journalist and author. Born in Brooklyn, New York he spent most of his life growing up in the New Jersey suburbs. He spent years as a senior copy writer and content creator of national and international ad campaigns for internationally known companies. Most recently, Alan has been writing content about the New York Mets at RisingApple.com, and for a food, travel, and activity blog. Alan is an avid runner, hiker, explorer, and humorist. He loves the finer things in life and loves to end up in places that are off the beaten path…wherever that may be.

As first joined FanSided network as a Contributor for the entertainment division Culturess to 1428 Elm, and the travel news website, TripSided. Mainly, the biggest contribution has been the Culturess because of my general interest to cover movies, TV, fashion, music, all subjects that related to pop culture.

About FanSided
The idea of FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn the creation of FanSided in 2009, a network of over 300+ fan-powered unique sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.
