If you’re headed to Disneyland Resort between May 16th, 2025, and the summer of 2026, you’re in luck as this is the time when the resort will be celebrating its 70th anniversary with many limited-time entertainment, food, and merchandise offerings. Whether or not you’re intentionally planning a visit for the 70th anniversry, or have had a trip booked, you’re in for a real treat. Read on to learn more about some of the various activities and offerings you can enjoy during this limited-time celebration.
“Paint the Night Parade" returns to Disneyland
Millions of will LED lights illuminate Disneyland Park with the return of the fan-favorite “Paint the Night Parade.” Guests will be delighted to see floats and characters from beloved Disney and Pixar films, including Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and more. This parade will take place at 8:45 PM and 10:45 PM throughout the 70th anniversary celebration.
“Wondrous Journeys”
Disneyland’s nighttime spectacular “Wondrous Journeys” is making its return to Disneyland Park with nightly performances. Although fireworks only make appearances during the show on select nights (weather-permitting), guests can expect to see their favorites from Hercules, The Princess and the Frog, Peter Pan, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Moana, and Encanto in this 13-minute show.
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” Parade
This parade from Pixar Fest is returning to Disney California Adventure Park. Guests will be taken through their favorite Pixar films in this 25-minute parade.
“Tapestry of Happiness”
The “It’s a Small World” attraction will be decorated with the “Tapestry of Happiness.” This animated mosaic will pay homage to The Happiest Place on earth featuring Mary Blair-inspired artwork and “Celebrate Happy,” which is the new original 70th celebration theme song performed by the Jonas Brothers.
New attire for Mickey and friends
Catch Mickey Mouse and friends sporting new playful and contemporary attire for their meets in the Town Square and appearances in “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade” at Disneyland Park.
“The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade”
“The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade” is debuting at Disneyland Park for the resort’s 70th anniversary (with performances at 1:30 PM and 2:45 PM), and will feature classic characters in addition to two rare characters, Duffy and ShellieMay.
Attraction updates
“It’s a Small World” is receiving an update to include Miguel and Dante from Coco in the attraction’s Mexico segment.
"Toy Story Midway Mania!" at Disney California Adventure Park will also feature nods to this 70th anniversary celebration while guests play.
