Five new hotel experiences around the world just waiting for you
The hotel you choose can make or break an entire vacation. So many things factor into that decision, from location, cleanliness, reputation, and amenities to cost. And cost is often the big deciding factor, particularly if you're planning a big family trip.
Keeping all of that in mind, there are plenty of hotels that are themselves a destination. You plan your trip because you want to stay there, everything else about the vacation falling in place around that. And in 2025, you have several more amazing options to choose from.
Capella Kyoto
When it comes to hotels, Capella tends to focus on local influences without sacrificing the luxury that makes each property special. Capella Kyoto is the first hotel from the company in Japan, located in the city's Miyagawa-cho district. Limited to 92 rooms, it is a boutique experience in a part of Japan many tourists do not experience. A stay at Capella Kyoto could change that.
One&Only Moonlight Basin
One&Only Resort are notorious for their incredible properties but there has never been one in the United States. Until now, at least. One&Only Moonlight Basin will open in 2025 and is located in the legendary region of Big Sky, Montana. There are seemingly endless opportunities for you to explore the rugged outdoors that still typify much of Montana on the resort's 8100 acres.
Waldorf Astoria San Miguel de Allende
A name synonymous with high-end hotel experiences, Waldorf Astoria is expanding it's Mexican portfolio with a new hotel in San Miguel de Allende. Scheduled to open in early 2025, this hotel and residence will offer Waldorf Astoria's expected spa options as well as three restaurants and an art gallery. Given the historic location, that only makes sense.
Six Senses Burnham Beeches
This is not the Australian destination you're expecting. It's the Australian destination you need. Six Senses Burnham Beeches is a converted mansion on an estate just outside of Melbourne. The Art Deco elegance this 43-room hotel will be impossible to impersonate. You can spend your evening in the library bar. Or enjoy some quiet time in the garden rooftop retreat.
Four Seasons Resort Mykonos
When it comes to imagining paradise, no one would blame you if your mind drifted to Mykonos, Greece. It's beach clubs are legendary as is the architecture. Mykonos' new Four Seasons Resort will adopt all of that in its design and ethos. The property will feature 94 rooms with exceptional views of the Aegean Sea on a property that runs from the white sand beaches to the coastal cliffs.
