In response to the new administration’s attacks on our National Parks, REI is partnering with the non-profit organization National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) to give customers a chance to help support America's public lands. From now until April 30th, REI will be donating 20% of sales from their popular Half Dome tents to the NPCA to help keep the National Parks system safe.
Named after the iconic rock formation in Yosemite National Park, the REI Half Dome tent comes in three sizes: a two-person ($299), a 2-person plus ($359), and a 3-person version ($399). The Half Dome tents are made with durable polyester to keep campers safe from the elements and come with great features like easy color-coded set-up, a unique spacious design that adds height and room, and lots of built-in pockets for storage. Plus, its affordable price makes it the perfect tent for beginners.

Both REI and the NPCA are dedicated to keeping the National Parks alive and thriving despite numerous budget cuts from the Trump Administration that have slashed staffing, shortened operational hours, and closed trails. “Now more than ever, the nation’s public lands have a dire and uncertain future,” said Isabelle Portilla, vice president of REI. “We are honored to support the forward-thinking and inclusive approaches of the National Parks Conservation Association and further visibility of their important work.”
The NPCA agreed, with their President and CEO Theresa Pierno saying, “Just as our national parks are experiencing record-breaking visitation, they are enduring the most harmful attacks we’ve ever seen.” If you’re passionate about America's National Parks but aren’t in need of a tent, there’s still tons of ways to help out the NPCA. Their online store is loaded with everything from hoodies to hats, totes, t-shirts, and more – and all of those proceeds go towards helping the NPCA.
