If you've ever wanted to spend roughly 40% of a year cruising around the Pacific Rim on a massive ship, Crystal Cruises has the adventure of a lifetime for you. The company is launching their 2027 World Cruise aboard the Crystal Serenity. To be fair, it's more of a "world" cruise. It won't cover the entire globe but passengers will get a thorough look at the Pacific Rim. And you will get a series of once in a lifetime experiences, all on the same trip.
The cruise lasts for 140 nights, coming to an end in May 2027. You'll begin your journey in San Diego, CA then disembark when it's all said and done in Vancouver, BC. Between those first and final stops, the cruise will circle the Pacific Rim with a total of 83 destinations on the itinerary. Highlights include Costa Rica, Bora Bora, Ecuador, New Zealand, Tahiti, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, and China. That may not be the exact order but you get the idea.
The Crystal Serenity has been in operation since 2003 and recently underwent a full overhaul and modernization to bring it up to current standards of luxury. This refurbishment was completed in 2023 with the Serenity returning to service that summer. Keeping in mind that the base price tag for this trip is $69,000 USD, the ship also offers a variety of upgrades and luxury options for additional fees. You can customize this experience as you see fit.
This represents a huge step forward for Crystal Cruises. Like the rest of the travel industry, the pandemic hit Crystal Cruises hard. In early 2022, the parent company became insolvent and the cruise line's operations were suspended. Another company bought the bankrupt line later that year and began rebuilding its operations to where they are now.
