"Everything is Awesome" at the LEGOLAND New York Resort in Goshen! On June 24th the theme park is debuting its newest attraction: Minifigure Skyflyer, and they want guests to help celebrate. Before this ride makes its inaugural flight across the park, LEGOLAND New York is hoping to break the World Record for the Largest Disco Dance Party. But to do this, they need your help!

On Monday, June 24th, guests are asked to dress in their disco best. They are requesting attire that is sparkly, silvery, glittery, or disco ball-themed. The first 2,500 guests that register online and participate in the disco dance party, dressed to impress, will receive free same-day entry into the park.

Visitors will hopefully get the chance to ride the new Minifigure Skyflyer. This attraction at the New York location is currently the only one of its kind at the LEGOLAND Resorts. This is an aerial ride that transports guests from one section of the park to another with a “party in the sky” experience.

In a recent press release, Divisional Director of LEGOLAND New York Stephanie Johnson noted "There's so much fun to be had at LEGOLAND New York Resort, but it's a sprawling park, so guests have been asking for easier ways to navigate between the Park's seven themed lands and we listened. Minifigure Skyflyer provides an exciting solution that ignites creativity, sparks imagination, and gives the best views of all the excitement happening at the Park and the surrounding, picturesque Hudson Valley, all from the air."

Minifigures are an integral part of the LEGO experience. Almost every LEGO set comes with at least one minifigure and thousands of different minifigures have been created. Guests can even bring minifigures to trade with Model Citizens (aka park employees) when they visit the park. It seems fitting that these iconic figures get their own attraction at LEGOLAND.

The LEGOLAND New York resort is comprised of 150 acres spread over seven different themed lands. Guests can board the gondola-style pod ride at either of the home bases located in Bricktopia and LEGO® Pirates. Each of the seven pods can hold up to 10 guests. During the 90-second journey, visitors can participate in fun audio-themed activities with their minifigure hosts. With seven different themed pods, guests can tell jokes with Chicken Suit Guy and Racoon Costume Man or learn pirate lingo, and sing sea shanties with Calico Jade and Scallywag. Or you may end up in a pod with the No Limits crew or the Alien Dancer. Kids will likely want to ride this attraction multiple times to meet all of the minifigures.

While waiting in line for the ride, check out all of the minifigures depicted on the outside of the gondolas. Over 100 of the most popular ones can be found across the attraction.

The Minifigure Skyflyer is a family-friendly ride. It is both ADA-accessible and stroller-friendly, so the entire family can enjoy this attraction together. This new ride will likely be very popular at the park this summer!
