JetBlue launches daily non-stop service from JFK to Tulum

If you are in the New York area and want to find a quick getaway to the city of Tulum in Mexico, life for you has gotten a lot easier as JetBlue has added a non-stop daily from John F. Kennedy Airport in New York to Felipe Carrillo Puerto Tulum International Airport. To date, JetBlue is the only airline to operate such a service from JFK to Tulum. The move comes after Tulum Airport recently announced plans to accept international flights from the United States.

JetBlue states it will operate the New York and Tulum connection both ways via an Airbus A320 and it will be the third Mexican destination that the company will serve in the country of Mexico with Cancun and Los Cabos. The daily JFK to Tulum flight will operate under Flight #2879 with an 8:00 a.m. departure arriving at 11:15 a.m. In reverse, JetBlue will leave daily from Tulum with Flight #2880 taking off at 12:45 p.m. and arriving back in New York's JFK Airport at 5:49 p.m.

Booking a flight to Tulum at least a month in advance from JFK to Tulum, according to the Google Flights database, a round trip ticket could set you back as low as $245. The roughly four-hour flight between the two cities will offer free wifi, seatback entertainment, complimentary snacks and drinks and ample legroom according to the airline.

JetBlue's presence in nearby Cancun also flies to JFK Airport. From Cancun, JetBlue also offers flights to Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, Newark, and Raleigh-Durham. From Los Cabos, the airline offers flights to and from JFK and LAX in Los Angeles.
