Delta passengers traveling through JFK have a lot to be excited about now that Delta has opened its first-ever Delta One lounge at the international airport. Unlike a standard Sky Club, the new Delta One lounge is only available to Delta One passengers and loyalty members who are part of the invite-only 360 Club.
So, what awaits passengers who are lucky enough to get inside the new lounge? The first thing they’ll notice is the sleek new interiors, which have been inspired by New York’s historic Art Deco architecture. With Radio City and the Empire State Building serving as inspiration, the club is adorned with marble, gold accents, and fluted glass.
As with most airport lounges, one of the most important aspects of the new Delta One lounge is the quality of its food and drinks. When you’re traveling, it’s not always easy to spare time for a meal (especially a quality one), so delicious and quality food in a lounge is essential. The Delta One lounge gives guests tons of dining options. From the three-course Brasserie restaurant to walk-up options like the Market and Bakery, passengers can snag a great meal either with some added luxury or on the go. The lounge is also bringing back the retro luxury of cart service, where attendants bring a variety of drinks, spirits, and cocktails straight to your seat – another nod to classic New York.
Relaxation is also a high priority for the new lounge, and the space has a dedicated area for wellness and rejuvenation. From full-body massage chairs to the lamp-lit Serenity Lounge, the Delta One lounge is great for weary travelers who need a minute of peace. But the real highlight is the Rejuvenation Bar, which serves up freshly made non-alcoholic tonics, juices, and herb-infused waters.
You can even freshen up in one of the lounge’s eight shower suites. Take a shower, brush your teeth, and slip into a plush robe, all while indulging in bath products from Grown Alchemist. The new lounge even has attendants who will stream your clothes and shine your shoes as you shower.
Other lounge highlights include valet parking, an outdoor patio that can be covered during the winter, and an art gallery.
Right now, the Delta One lounge is available to Delta One passengers flying through JFK’s Terminal 4. But Delta CEO Ed Bastian told CNBC that more Delta One lounges are on the way for Los Angeles, Boston, and Seattle.
