In the fall, SeaWorld is home to the Beer and Food Festival and we attended that back in October. It wasn’t a very good experience but how was it compared to the Seven Seas Food Festival.

To be honest, there is no question which festival was better and by far the Seven Seas Festival is better. It should be. The Beer and Food Festival was a concentration more on drinks and brews whereas the focus of the 7 Seas is on food and clearly there was more time invested in the food this time as opposed to the last one.

The food at the Beer festival was overly seasoned and salty. It was forgettable and even now, several months removed, I can’t think of a single dish that stands out without looking back at the article about it whereas I can remember quite a few things I ate at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival during that same period.

This time around, I shouldn’t have a problem remembers some of the samples at SeaWorld because overall the experience was good and while there were missteps along the way and some food that was downright garbage it was a good and inexpensive experience that most people should enjoy.

If beer and spirits is your preference, make the Beer Festival your go-to choice but if it is the food, this is the one you need to visit. I will be heading back later in the week to sample some of my missed opportunities but I think I ate enough to get a grasp on what was working and what wasn’t.

SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival is a fun option for families looking to enjoy a mix of options without breaking their bank accounts and while it is a cheaper option than say, Epcot, the food generally was good quality and the taste was worth the punch on the lanyard.
