New SeaWorld Orlando bar opens but seems more for pass holders

There is a new option at SeaWorld Orlando that looks great on the surface but might be more useful for pass holders.

SeaWorld announced today that the brand new Glacier Bar is now open and it looks like a great place to grab a drink, some food, and football?

The email from SeaWorld today says that the Glacier Bar will offer ice-cold beer and signature cocktails. I’ll let you know how good those cocktails are in December when I head down.

The bar is located just outside of the Wild Arctic pavilion. Wild Arctic is home to the Beluga whale exhibit and other arctic sea life as well as a ride that is currently closed due to the pandemic. It’s a good location for a bar called Glacier.

The open-air bar is covered and there is seating at the bar as well as tables under the large canopy. What I wonder is if this is something that a non-pass holder would take advantage of?

Consider the price of admission is between $85 and $100.00. If you are going for one day would you likely sit down to watch a football game? There are mounted televisions and SeaWorld’s email says you can take in a game. They serve flatbread pizza and sliders so it may be a quick lunch spot.

Now pass holders on the other hand can really take advantage. Heading into the park to watch a football game seems pretty cool to do at an amusement park and no one would bat an eye spending three hours watching a game because they can do the park anytime.

There is a lot to like about this Glacier Bar though. The theme is nice and the location is great while giving visitors a lot more choices than some of the other locations around the park. Plus, it is still technically outside which is, in my opinion, far better than sitting inside a non-themed restaurant.

The best part? On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Glacier Bar will have an all-day happy hour with their specialty drinks half off, tapped beers, and appetizers.  Pass holders can get a special free souvenir pilsner cup when they buy any draft beer or one of their signature frozen cocktails during happy hour from now until November 19th.
