Spring Break is right around the corner. Students and young adults are gearing up to hit some of their favorite destinations. Areas like Cancun, Mexico, and Miami, Florida are at the top of the list as they are every year. But while those areas are set to be flooded with people, there are areas that fly under the radar for Spring Break. Here are three unique travel options for people looking to do something fun and different for the time.

Panama City, Panama

Panama City will scratch the itch for someone looking to travel internationally and visit a place with beautiful beaches. The capital of the small country features everything from a bustling food scene to excellent nightlife. And it comes at a cheaper price point than many of the trips you’ll find to Florida or Mexico. Panama City is a major destination that can give you the feel of Miami, and many of the same attractions. And don’t forget that this city has a beautiful nature scene as well, for those who like to spend time outside while on vacation.

Hollywood, California

While the name may give you pause, Hollywood, California is certainly a different location to consider when planning a Spring Break trip. This is a great area to travel to if you’re deep into movie culture, with so much to see within the industry. The downtown area isn’t as popular as cities like Los Angeles or San Diego, but there’s certainly enough to keep you busy during the visit. Plus, you can hop on a quick flight to other parts of the state if you want a change of scenery.

Playa Negra, Costa Rica

This is another option for those looking for an international destination for Spring Break. Playa Negra is just that, the black sand beach is frequently considered one of the most beautiful in the world. This is a perfect destination if you’re looking to slow down for a few days. However, the beach can get busy during some times of the year, so you can make it a point to head to one of the excellent restaurants or take a stroll around the Marino Las Baulas National Park.
