New York may be a city known for many tourist attractions to visit and things to do for locals and travelers alike. New York deserves credit for having some of the most known cinema chains spread across the five boroughs from Regal, AMC, and many more.

Starting the discussion is Alamo Drafthouse. This company has three New York locations open in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Alama Drafthouse has venues in other states along with New York, all of which are known for having a trendy and hip atmosphere that attracts customers.

With nine open locations in New York including eight in Manhattan and one in the neighborhood of Queens, AMC Theatres is the first cinema chain locals will think of in terms of most known movie theaters.

One of the things that makes AMC well known is the particular individual who will return to the same one every other weekday or Friday, and possibly visit the other locations to take in a new experience. The only difference between each New York AMC location is the inside of the location, the neighborhood, and the various films playing at each AMC location.

Next up is Regal Cinemas, another chain that people in New York will easily recognize. Currently, Regal Cinemas has one location left in the south neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York plus a few spread out in Queens and Manhattan.

New York cinema chains stand out in their own way and will bring their most returning patrons back to their locations or new visitors to the movie theaters.
