2025 is set to be a big year for Six Flags as the company introduced seven more attractions for theme parks set to open. That good news had a positive impact on its financial outlook, represented by an increase in its stock market position.
On Thursday, shares of the Six Flags Entertainment (Ticker: FUN) increased 3.18 percent, closing at $44.16. Overall, shares are up 11 percent in 2024. This came on the back of the good news that is expected to spur park attendees next year.
Six Flags Great America in Illinois will get the ride known as Wrath of Rakshasa. This ride features a 171-foot drop and five inversions while hitting speeds up to 67 miles per hour. That drop will be the steepest of any roller coaster in the world.
Carowinds’ Camp Snoopy will get two family-friendly rides. First is a new roller coaster and the second is an interactive raft ride featuring the characters from the Peanuts franchise. Canada’s Wonderland will launch the AlpenFury, which will be the tallest, fastest, and longest launch coaster in the country. It will send riders 164 feet up before hitting them with nine inversions while traveling 71 miles per hour.
Six Flags New England will get the Quantum Accelerator which will be a multi-launch roller coaster and New England’s first straddle coaster. Kings Dominion in Virgina will get the Rapterra to celebrate the park’s 50th anniversary. This is the world’s tallest and longest-launched wing coaster. King’s Island will debut the RiverRacers.
Hurricane Harbor will undergo expansions with the water experiences in both Los Angeles, California, and Arlington, Texas. These renovations will include attractions for both adults and children at both parks.
Along with all these new additions, Six Flags will also expand the all-park passport. Beginning in 2025, visitors will be able to get an unlimited admission and parking pass at all 42 Six Flags-owned parks.
