Are you ready for some football? And Mardi Gras?

Okay, fine, one more basic choice, but similar to our “event” argument with Las Vegas, it’s February, and that means Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Yes, it’ll be packed with tourists throwing up in the streets, but you kind of want to see that in a trainwreck way, right?
At the very least, the parades are varied and wild, and well worth checking out. Additionally, the weather – though it also varies – is not quite in the rainy season, and not as blistering as it gets over the Summer. If you want to avoid the crowds, go later in the month for a quieter – and probably cheaper – experience.
