2024 Holiday Celebrations Announced for Disney World and Disneyland
Can you believe we’re already halfway to the holidays? To celebrate the occasion, Disney parks have officially announced their lineup of holiday events at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Tons of holiday favorites are returning and some new special activations are popping up as well. Here’s everything you can look forward to this holiday season at Disney parks.
Mickey and Minnie’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom
Everyone’s favorite holiday party is back! On select evenings from Nov. 8 - Dec. 20, the already-festive Magic Kingdom park will be transformed into a holiday wonderland. Complete with a special parade, holiday fireworks show, and festive seasonal treats, the party is a must for anyone who loves to get jolly during the holidays.
One of the coolest parts of the holiday parties is that the lines for the rides are much shorter since they’re ticketed events with capped admission. Plus, some of the rides even get a special holiday makeover…and trust me, they’re so much fun. Christmas Space Mountain is an absolutely wild ride that you’ll never forget!
Tickets go on sale for resort guests on July 2, and open to the public on July 10.
Jollywood Nights Returns to Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios will be celebrating the holidays with the return of Jollywood Nights. Bringing the glam of Hollywood and the sparkle of the holidays together, the Jollywood Nights party is perfect for anyone who likes to mingle and jingle.
The party is held on select evenings from Nov. 9 - Dec. 21 and is loaded with special theming, tons of live entertainment, a special holiday show, and this year they’re even including skating. Jollywood Nights will also be loaded with special events like a Nightmare Before Christmas sing-along and various photo-ops throughout the park (all Jollywood Nights tickets come with PhotoPass included).
Tickets go on sale for resort guests on July 2, and open to the public on July 10.
EPCOT Brings Back the International Festival of the Holidays
EPCOT is known for its celebration of cultures around the world, and their annual International Festival of the Holidays is no different. The celebration runs from Nov. 29 - Dec. 30 and is loaded with food, decorations, and performances from holiday celebrations around the world.
There will be holiday storytellers around the park, telling tales of holly jolly lore from around the globe, live entertainment, and Living with the Land will get its annual winter makeover. Plus, special celebrations like the JOYFUL! Kwanza show and the legendary Candlelight Procession will make their return.
Most EPCOT events are not ticketed and take place throughout the park during the season
Disneyland Will Be Celebrating the Holidays All Season Long
The holidays are always a special time at Disneyland and fans from around the world flock to see the park’s iconic Nightmare Before Christmas takeover of Haunted Mansion. But that’s not the only ride getting a holiday makeover this year. Guests can ride holiday-themed versions of It’s a Small World, Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters, and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree.
The park will also have its much-loved holiday decorations and seasonal treats, and this year Disney has announced that Mickey, Minnie, and their friends will have new holiday outfits. Disneyland Park’s holiday festivities begin Nov. 15.
Over at California Adventure, guests can enjoy the Season of Light show, which is the holiday makeover of the iconic World of Color show. Plus, throughout the holidays California Adventure is known for its Festival of Holidays celebration, where guests can enjoy special performances and seasonal goodies from various holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah, Navidad, Kwanza, and Diwali.
Disneyland events aren't ticketed and take place throughout the season.
