Since commencing operations in 2000, JetBlue has grown quickly and ensconced itself in traveler's minds. It now offers more than a thousand flights daily, primarily to destinations throughout the Americas. That being said, the airline does have limited flights to Europe, most of which go to the United Kingdom. But that is changing with an expansion of routes coming in 2025.
These new routes will be based out of JetBlue's hub in Boston. For the most part, these summer routes will get people to North American destinations in North Carolina, New York, Virginia, Michigan, and Nova Scotia. But there are also two new European routes coming, one to Madrid, Spain, and another to Edinburgh, Scotland. Both locations are certainly dream destinations for a lot of Americans looking for an adventure for the family.
It's important to keep in mind that these are seasonal summer routes, not permanent year-round options. That could potentially change if demand is high, but that is impossible to predict. Still, any expansion for JetBlue is a good sign for the health of the company overall. The flights will start running on a variety of dates between April 30, 2025 and June 26, 2025. Most of these flights are scheduled to run daily, except Traverse City, MI which will be three times a week
JetBlue started it's life at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, which continues to be their primary hub. And more commuter routes are coming to JFK as well as other airports in the New York area. The vast majority of these commuter flights will run from New York City to other destinations around the United States, including Los Angeles, Detroit, and Washington, D.C. There will also be new commuter flights heading to Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
