Traveling due to celestial events is nothing new but there has certainly been a boom in recent years. More people are making the trip to dark sky parks or traveling to see the Northern Lights than ever before. That was certainly the case with the 2024 Solar Eclipse that saw unprecedented travel to find the best possible place to experience the event and maybe snap a perfect Instagram shot. With another solar eclipse around the corner, there's no time like the present to start planning.

Luxury tour company Geographic Expeditions already has a tour on the books for the 2027 Solar Eclipse. It is a 10-day adventure across Egypt that will coincide with the eclipse, which is expected to peak while the tour is in Luxor. And if there was ever a cooler and more omnious place to experience a full solar eclipse, it's honestly hard to think of one.

There will be stops all along the tour that allow you to explore various towns, temples, and assorted key archaeological sites. You'll be staying in luxury accommodations on the entire trip and will have elite dining experiences. The highlight, of course, will be the eclipse which you will experience from a private rooftop in the Valley of the Kings. That is assuming the weather is good and that the mystical eclipse doesn't cause any mummies to come to life. Keep an eye on your forecast for both.

Geographic Expeditions, often referred to as GeoEx, has been around since the early 1980s, albeit under different names over the years. Over the decades, GeoEx has regularly been the first American company to runs tours in some of the most interesting and challenging places on Earth. That includes becoming the first legally approved American trip operator to North Korea in 2007.
