HBO’s The White Lotus is a bingeworthy series that always gets audiences talking thanks to its deliciously subversive characters, wild drama, sexy antics, and of course…devious murders. But it’s also a gorgeous ode to the destinations it films at. Season 1 took place on the island of Maui, season 2 brought viewers to Italy, and season 3 ventured off to Thailand. But can you stay at the resorts featured in the show?
The answer is yes. The White Lotus always films at actual resorts – often the Four Seasons – and every season of the show brings tons of publicity and search interest to the hotels they film at. So, where were all three seasons of The White Lotus filmed?
Season 1 - Four Seasons Maui at Wailea

Filmed during COVID, the production team of season 1 was able to literally buy out the Four Seasons Maui and live the resort life while filming. Located in southwest Maui, the oceanfront resort offers everything you could want in a Hawaii vacation. Gorgeous beachfront rooms, swaying palm trees, and perfect weather greet guests every morning.
While there, you can eat Hawaiian cuisine at their restaurant Spago by famed chef Wolfgang Puck, which serves island-inspired dishes like macadamia-crusted mahi mahi. You can also lounge by the pool, enjoy the spa, or book one of the resort’s guided experiences like snorkeling expeditions and sunrise bike tours.
Season 2 - Four Seasons San Domenico Palace

Located on the gorgeous and historic island of Sicily, the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace sits east of the iconic Mount Etna (one of the world’s most active volcanoes) and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. While the season is most iconic for the line, “These gays, they’re trying to murder me!” it also turned the Palace into one of Italy’s most sought-after resorts.
The hotel is stunning and comes with marble bathrooms, private terraces, and views of both the ocean and Mount Etna. For those who want to relax, dive into the heated pool, step into the sauna, or soak in the hot tub. For the more adventurous, the resort offers lots of exclusive excursions, including a tour of The Godfather filming locations and helicopter tours of Mount Etna.
Season 3 - Four Seasons Koh Samui

Season 3 brought viewers to the Thai island of Koh Samui. In the show, one of the characters talks about how the tsunami hit just a few miles away, so it’s possible that White Lotus has set this season on a fictional island. The show is mainly being filmed once again at the Four Seasons. Unlike the other resorts so far, the Four Seasons Koh Samui is a villa resort composed entirely of private villas, giving guests ample privacy.
Dining at the hotel is varied and includes everything from seafood and steak to Thai favorites like Larb, Pad Prik, and of course, Pad Thai. And just like season 3 prominently shows, the Koh Samui resort is heavily focused on its spa rituals, which include everything from beachfront massages to sound baths, breathwork, nature bathing, and body scrubs made of coconut and rosemary. For a little more action, you can also hop in the ocean, go sea kayaking, or even take a Muay Thai class.
Season 3 - Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas

Season 3 is the first White Lotus season to use two hotels for filming. The second resort is the Anantara in Phuket. This resort is hundreds of miles away from the Four Seasons and is located on the western coast of the country.
Phuket is a huge tourist destination, but the Anantara is still dedicated to rest and relaxation. Guests can enjoy the spa, play golf, or go on an island-hopping boat excursion. Plus, being located in Phuket means the resort is super accessible and is literally just minutes from the city's international airport which has direct flights all across the globe.
