Holiday air travel can be a bit polarizing amongst flyers. On the one hand, it’s crowded, people are stressed, and everyone just wants to get home to their families. On the other hand, the crazy crowds and rush of holiday spirit can make it pretty exciting, especially since many airports are adorned with decorations and sometimes even live music.
But for anyone flying with Air New Zealand this December, the holidays will feel more magical than ever. The airline has launched a new campaign called Let the Magic Find You This Christmas, and will be dishing out special holiday goodies on both its domestic and international flights. “We are delighted to bring the magic of Christmas to our passengers, even at 35,000 feet,” the airline said in a statement.
To launch the campaign, Air NZ released a special video to YouTube (and it’s already received over 1 million views) showing how the cabin crew of an Air NZ flight works to bring the holiday spirit alive. You can check out the video below.
Holiday treats aboard Air New Zealand flights
Passengers flying during the month of December on Air NZ’s flights will be greeted with exclusive treats, like red, green, and candy cane lollies, and they can enjoy festive touches around the aircraft, like holiday headrests and special Christmas-themed tray table mats.
Air NZ also has Koru Hour, which is kind of like the airline’s happy hour that runs from 4:45 pm - 7:05 pm Monday through Friday. On domestic flights between Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Queenstown, Koru Hour passengers will get to snack on a special treat: pretzel & candy cane bark.
