The sea cave Papafragas is a Greek must-see

Greece is known for many things, but did you know that the country is home to a cave once used as a hideout for pirates? On the island of Milos, there’s a stretch of rocky land where the earth seemed to have been carved away to expose the water that flows underneath. These are the caves of Papafragas, and if you’re ever in the area, you need to stop by and check them out.

Just looking down at the caves from on high is a powerful experience, but if you want to get the most out of your trip, you need to find a way down to enjoy time on the tiny beach at the bottom. The beach is easy to miss at first, but once you get a glimpse, you’ll know what you have to do.
