For those who laugh in the face of danger or take to skydiving as a casual affair, this exhilarating attraction is definitely for you. This is America’s highest zipline, situated in Royal Gorge Bridge & Park in Canyon City, Colorado, and it is quickly becoming one of the country’s most-loved attractions.

It’s not only the highest zipline anywhere around, but it is also the longest. The ride, which has fittingly been named the Cloudscraper, dangles visitors a staggering 1,200 feet above the Arkansas River, which allows the rider to take in the stunning views from high above, and runs parallel to the Royal Gorge Bridge. Lucky for riders, the ride’s harness features a smallholding pouch for any small belongings, and a photo booth at the end of the ride allows visitors to purchase video evidence of their hair-raising ride to show to all the folks back home!

Even if a ride in the sky isn’t your cup of tea, there’s still plenty to enjoy in this park. The park offers gondola rides, a playland and an amble over the nearby Royal Gorge Bridge. There is even a summer concert for lovers of live music, and a summertime ‘Birds of Prey’ show that showcases the majestic birds of prey living in and around the gorge.

And recently, the park opened the ‘Via Ferrata’ – a climbing tour where visitors (10 years old and over) are able to actually climb the granite walls of the gorge – all under supervision, of course.
