Fraggle Rock fans this is our moment! Waze has decided that in order to bring the feels to your next road trip, they are giving us a whole new voice.

That’s because the Red Fraggle will now be an option to voice our Waze directions! (The excitement I feel at this announcement is ridiculous and I do not care!)

For those of us who grew up with Fraggle Rock from the 80s, or even fell in love with the characters during the Fraggle Rock shorts on Apple TV, the fact that Waze is bringing the nostalgia is the perfect excuse to download the app if you haven’t already.

According to Collider, “Your commute will become an amazing adventure with Red as your co-pilot. In addition to Red Fraggle hilariously offering you directions along the way, you can also customize how your vehicle appears on the Waze app by making it look like a Doozer truck.”

Waze adds a new voice to their navigation app inspired by Fraggle Rock

This is not the first time that the navigation app has added interesting and fun voices to their app. From PAW Patrol to Boy George, Waze understands that sometimes we want a little fun with our GPS. After all, how many people change their voice navigation to sound like a British or Australian individual is telling you how to get somewhere? (I mean everyone I know has done it.)

We honestly can’t wait to see how the Red Fraggle handles us messing up the directions too, because while your average GPS might say recalculating, Red Fraggle is known for not exactly owning up to being wrong. It would be a lot of fun to get the Red Fraggle’s take on a wrong turn or a missed turn.

But, no matter what additional details Waze chooses to add to their app along with the voice of the Red Fraggle, we are just thrilled to have this as an option. It’s all the nostalgia we never knew we needed in a navigation app.

What do you think fellow road trippers? Are you excited for Waze to add a Fraggle to the voice options? Are you a Fraggle Rock fan too? We want to know!
