Stop at a grocery store

Believe it or not, when you travel you are traveling through areas that other people call home. I know for most of us, we tend to discount a lot of the areas we drive through, focusing instead on our own destinations. Yet there are people who live there and that usually means there are grocery stores.

You could spend five minutes in a drive-through line or 10 minutes inside standing in line behind other travelers or you could spend a little extra time walking through a grocery store. In many cases, grocery stores now have hot cases and cold cases and this is perfect for the health-conscious traveler.

Consider that you can buy a bag of carrots that will get you threw to your destination or grab some crunchy cauliflower and a healthy dipping option. At a grocery, you have far more options than you would at any restaurant and you control every aspect of what you are eating and what is going to cost you in terms of your diet.
