Chicken wings
I don’t consider boneless wings to be chicken wings. Those are chicken nuggets no matter what you say. That being said, wings are, believe it or not, an incredibly healthy snack or meal if you get them without the breading and they are not dredged in sugary sauces.
A simple recipe for hot wing sauce is one stick of butter (or healthy butter) and 1/2 cup of hot sauce. Hot sauce doesn’t contain carbs in most brands and if you use butter with less fat you are doing great. You can literally keep the sauce in a cup and put in the cupholder.
Grabbing a breadless wing and dipping it might be a little messy but hey, you’re eating chicken wings on the road. Before my wife and I went low-carb, we would stop at the Ponderosa in Ripley, WV right off the highway. We would order about 40 wings for the long ride home and the entire family was able to enjoy an easy meal.
It is harder to find breadless wings these days but if you think ahead, you can buy some from a local restaurant that sells them or make them at home yourself. They are extremely easy in an air-fryer and healthier.
