Bring your own bread

I get it, sometimes you can’t avoid it. Your kids are screaming in the back because they are “Hangry” your wife or husband is getting all testy because they haven’t eaten and there is no other options but the fast-food joints. You simply, at times, have to stop.

My wife and I live a low-carb lifestyle. Not Keto, just low-carb. Over the last year, we have stopped eating rice, pasta, potatoes, and bread and it has made a world of difference but when we travel our options are limited.

Most fast-food places will provide you with a burger or any sandwich without the bun upon request. I have noticed that McDonald’s is a little less accommodating but Burger King will give you everything in a nice plastic container. Hardees will wrap any of their burgers in lettuce for you. These are great but sometimes, most of the time, they are hard to eat with your hand on the steering wheel. That’s why we bring our own bread or wraps.

Low carb bread is becoming popular and wraps are a much healthier option than bread. Bring a wrap with you and simply plop the sandwich into the wrap and voila, you have a sandwich you can eat while driving and in many cases, it tastes so much better.
