Now that we’ve established what the best snacks in Magic Kingdom are, why don’t we move on to Animal Kingdom?

In my opinion, Animal Kingdom has some of the best snacks on Walt Disney World property. From ice cream to pulled pork mac and cheese, Animal Kingdom has it all for foodies.

If you’re planning to visit Disney World in 2021, you’ll want to make sure you don’t miss any of these snacks.

Soft Serve Ice Cream from Anandapur Ice Cream Truck

You might be asking yourself, “What’s so great about soft serve ice cream?” Trust me, the ice cream from the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck in Asia is perfect.

You can get ice cream anywhere in the parks, but this ice cream is creamier for some reason. It especially hits the spot on a hot summer day.

The Anandapur Ice Cream Truck also offers limited-time treats. For example, they currently have a Raya and the Last Dragon-themed ice cream that is strawberry and vanilla in a blue-tinted white chocolate waffle cone.

Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries from Mr. Kamal’s

Mr. Kamal’s in Discovery Island has some of the best fries you’ll ever taste, and they might be the best on Disney World property.

Mr. Kamal’s fries are perfectly seasoned and served with several dipping sauces, including curried honey mustard and Korean chili ketchup. These are a must-try and arguably are the best snack in Animal Kingdom.

Mr. Kamal’s also serves delicious chicken dumplings, which are a fan-favorite.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork from Flame Tree Barbecue

The baked macaroni and cheese with pulled pork from Flame Tree Barbecue in Discovery Island is one of the best snacks in all of Animal Kingdom. When I tell you this is one of my absolute favorites in all of Disney World, I mean it.

You get a massive portion of macaroni and cheese, which is piled high with coleslaw, pulled pork, barbeque sauce and an onion ring. It’s technically an entree portion, but many view it as a snack as many visitors to Animal Kingdom eat lunch or dinner at Yak and Yeti.

Admittedly, I’m not a huge alcohol drinker, so I like to pair the mac and cheese with the loggerhead turtle drink, which is a sprite with granny smith apple syrup, a gummy worm and a sugar lime rim. It’s on the sweet side, but it’s very refreshing.

Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen

The cheeseburger pods from Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar are still among my favorite items in Animal Kingdom.

Both pods are stuffed with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickles and cheddar cheese. They are served with veggie chips, which are surprisingly very good.

Here’s a pro tip: Pick up a Night Blossom drink from Pongu Pongu right next to Satu’li Canteen and have it with the cheeseburger pods. You won’t regret it.

Pongu Lumpia from Pongu Pongu

The Pongu Lumpia from Pongu Pongu in Pandora – The World of Avatar is the perfect snack for foodies craving something warm and sweet. Think Dole Whip, but in baked form!

For some background, “lumpia” are spring rolls of Chinese origin, commonly found in Indonesia and the Philippines. They’re traditionally a savory snack, but the Disney culinary team created a sweet version for Animal Kingdom.

Pongu Lumpia are filled with cream cheese, pineapple and rolled in sugar. They’re a fan favorite, and you certainly won’t want to miss them if you’re a fan of sweet treats!

Simba Sunset from Tamu Tamu Refreshments

Of course a form of Dole Whip is going to make it onto this list. The Simba Sunset from Tamu Tamu Refreshments in the heart of Harambe Village is a refreshing sweet treat, perfect for a hot summer day.

The Simba Sunset is a pineapple-flavored Dole Whip with sweet watermelon syrup poured over the top. It’s the perfect combination and is one of the best ice cream treats in Animal Kingdom.

Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse from Satu’li Canteen

The Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse from Satu’li Canteen is not only pretty to look at, but it also tastes fantastic. I love the smooth blueberry cream cheese center, but the passion fruit curd on top makes the dish even better.

It’s arguably the best dessert in Animal Kingdom that isn’t related to ice cream or Dole Whip.

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich from Dino-Bite Snacks

If you’re looking for a classic treat, you can’t go wrong with the ice cream cookie sandwich from Dino-Bite Snacks in Dino Land USA.

The sandwiches are typically two chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle. However, Dino-Bite Snacks also offers seasonal varieties of this sandwich. For example, in the fall, the sandwich is served with pumpkin cookies and fall sprinkles. On Valentine’s Day, the sandwich was served with chocolate cookies and strawberry ice cream.
