Epcot: The order of rides you should plan your day to
By Brian Miller
If you want something that is fun, exciting, and thrilling, then Soarin is your must ride of Epcot.
I say must-ride but that will likely be replaced at least in part by the Guardian of the Galaxy ride and probably the Remi adventure in France but I suspect that the Remy ride won’t be a “thrill” type ride like GotG.
Soarin’ is actually really fun and if you ever get the chance to do the original version you should. That included California and other areas of interest. Now, it’s world exploration.
The ride puts you on in seats that give you the impression you are on a hang glider. The motion simulator whisks you off the ground in front of a 180* movie that takes you to the tops of some of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Take in not just the sounds but also enjoy some 4th-dimensional bursts of winds and smells.
On this ride, you will glide over mountains, across the icy North Pole, through Bavaria, and more. You will slowly feel yourself move left and right on the winds. You are suspended and that gives the ride another element of enjoyment, especially to those who are afraid of heights…like this guy.
This is a great ride for all ages and should be experienced.
Thrill factor: Definitely but not on a “rollercoaster” level.
Entertainment value: Probably the best in the park
Wait time: 45 minutes to 2 hours
Must ride: Yes
Fast Pass worthiness: Absolutely
Location: The Land Pavilion on the 2nd floor above The Living Land ride.
