Bhimbetka Caves

This place is a delight for history buffs and rock lovers. It takes you on a trip down memory lane where you can know more about the beginning of the South Asian Stone Age. The location is an archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is home to 500 rock shelters and has a vast collection of paintings that date back to 30,000 years old.

It derives its name from Shri Hariprasad Badkul’s surname as he invented it back in 1889 and gave it the color and the soft texture with his skills.
