Ahmedabad

Our next pitstop as we travel from the west to the east of India is the city of Ahmedabad. The city is known for some places that are a traveller’s delight and a food lover’s bliss. A visit to the home of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi Ji, Sabarmati Ashram is in the city. You can understand the belief system and the method used by Gandhi Ji that helped India gain Independence. Kankaria Lake is another place that should be on your travel list, and the world’s largest Stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium, adds prestige to Ahmedabad’s tourism.

It’s evident that after such a trip, one would be exhausted and would want to binge-eat anything on the menu. Methi Na Gota, Khakra, Fafda, Dhokla, Dal Vada are some of the things you can have in Ahmedabad, but there’s more than these dishes. If you have time by your side, you can always visit the Statue of Unity, 244 miles from the city.
