It is hard to miss the Epcot World Showcase country of France. The Eiffel Tower replica stands tall behind it and it sits on the corner over the bridge that leads from the England pavilion.

There is a lot about France to like. It has a spirit of a small French town and has plenty of hidden gems that you may or may not know about. The pavilion is quite large compared to many others. There is a fountain in the front and a garden off to the side where you can meet Belle and even Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.

While the younger girls will enjoy the chance to meet one of the princesses, there is plenty for kids and adults alike. One of the best offerings of any of the World Showcase countries can be found here. Impressions de France is a 180-degree film that takes you through the countryside, the beaches, the castles, and of course the city of Paris. It’s a short film of about 25 minutes long but is a reprieve from the outside heat and is quite interesting.

Also coming soon in 2021, the new Remi dark ride will fill the pavilion with Remi the rat from Ratatouille. The ride is nestled in the back of the pavilion. For the last year or so, construction can be viewed from the gondolas that arrive at the back of Epcot. France is also home to the Beauty and the Beast Sing-a-Long which is quite fun for the family as well!

Nestled at the end of the village street you will find the gift shop and more importantly, you will find Boulangerie Pâtisserie des Halles. This is the pastry shop where you can taste authentic desserts, breakfasts, fresh-baked bread, sandwiches, and more. The prices are family-friendly, literally some of the best prices for food anywhere in Epcot.

There is also a creamery where you can get ice-cream and other cold refreshments. For the more adult in us, try the wine shop.

France is also home to one of the better restaurants at Epcot. Les Chefs de France is the main restaurant and sits on the corner. The facade is all windows akin to a cafe in France and the food is terrific. Inside the ambiance is perfect as you enjoy dinner and watch the crowds filter by.
