Valentine’s Day is supposed to be the most romantic day of the year but if you are planning a trip to one of the Disney World theme parks, which one offers you the most romantic setting?
We all have our favorite parks at Disney World. The four parks plus the two water parks offer an almost endless amount of entertainment but which one is romantic and why? The four parks, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom are awesome in their own rights but when it comes to romance, there is only one that really stands out.
Hollywood Studios – Hollywood Studios is last on our list because frankly, there isn’t much about it that is romantic unless you are 100% Star Wars nerds in love, in that case, why not schedule a visit to Galaxy’s Edge?
Aside from Star Wars, Hollywood Studios doesn’t offer much these days for the romantic couple.
Animal Kingdom – Pandora is incredibly visual at night when the bioluminescence is on display around the Avatar themed section of the park. Flight of Passage is the best ride at any of the Disney parks but it’s not very romantic. You could take a slow ride on the Na’vi River Journey and hold hands on the dark ride but that’s about as good as it gets.
The rest of the park is fun but romantic? Nope.
Magic Kingdom – Is there anything more romantic than Cinderella’s Castle? Fireworks blasting over the spires as you snuggle in close to each other? Not really. Magic Kingdom has a lot to offer and plenty of places to sneak away from the crowd. Heck even the Haunted Mansion offers some up close and personal quiet time with just you and your significant other.
While Magic Kingdom is an awesome place to spend a day with that special person, it isn’t the best.
Epcot – You can’t go wrong with Epcot, especially World Showcase but is this your romantic destination? Yes, yes it is.
Dinner at any one of the countries in the WS can be romantic, especially France. Taking a stroll through World Showcase can be incredibly romantic and right now the park is having their Taste of Epcot International Festival of the Arts that runs through February 22nd.
It’s a perfect Valentine’s Day date night or day and you can’t go wrong sharing the tastes around the world. Stroll through the pavilions hand in hand and listen to the music and watch the endless live entertainment around the pavilions. It’s a top notch destination for couples and you get to say that your took your date around the world.
As the daylight gives way to the evening, sit back and find a nice place around the water’s edge to watch the firework show or take advantage of the smaller crowds to quietly exit the park without the shoulder to shoulder pushing and shoving.
Need something more special? Make a reservation for the Coral Reef Restaurant and have dinner next to the glass wall aquarium! It’s a wonderfully quiet restaurant that isn’t designed for a large amount of patrons offering a more romantic ambiance.
Overall, you can’t go wrong with Magic Kingdom but Epcot offers a bit more for the couple looking to find some time just for each other.
