The California governor is lifting the “stay at home” order and with that comes the natural speculation of when Disneyland and other parks around the state will reopen.

There is no set date but there is a lot of contention and uncertainty. In a perfect world, theme parks would simply open their gates and guests would come pouring in but this is not a perfect world.

Disneyland along with SeaWorld and other theme parks have been closed now for over a year now and while there is no reopening date yet, the lifting of this order will hopefully start returning things to a more normal situation. Of course, this is all 100% dependent on what happens with the COVID-19 situation.

While we tend to look at theme parks, restaraunts should also start to reopen soon as will other travel destinations. Calfornia’s order to stay home has shuttered everything, including national and state parks that will also benefit from the reopening of the state.

For now we simply don’t know enough about the plans for businesses in the state and Governor Newsome is facing his own political issues that could hinder reopening efforts but those are discussions for somewhere else.

Once Disneyland and others open, the question will be how will crowds and attendance be? Disneyland made the decision earlier this year to cancel all passholder options for ticket sales. They have said there will eventually be something to replace it but they have started offering refunds based on what tickets annual passholder guests had.

The good news is that the order has been lifted and hopefully, things will get back to normal sooner rather than later.
