In Texas, everything is big so it’s only natural to have Kalahari Resort, a Texas-sized waterpark opening soon.

A gigantic indoor waterpark, Kalahari Resort is set to open in the heart of Texas soon and it is, like the state itself, huge!

They say everything is bigger in Texas, including their waterparks, just look at Kalahari Resort.

The Kalahari Resort waterpark chain is nearly ready to open the largest indoor waterpark of its kind near Austin.

Built to resemble an African resort, the Texas Kahalari Resort will contain 975 rooms, a 200,00 square-foot convention center, and the park’s centerpiece, a whopping 223,000 square-foot water play oasis filled with all sorts of splashy attractions.

Among the plethora of slides that will be featured in the park is the Sahara Sidewinders, a 250-foot, near-vertical plunge into a 360-degree loop. Truly scary fun, indeed.

No foolin’ around the fun in this massive park

While the insanely massive waterpark will be the crown in Kalahari’s crown, this massive playland isn’t just for those who want to get wet.

There will also be a massive arcade, a virtual reality arena, and the Adventures Club just for the kiddos.

For the adults that just want to take a load off and relax, the resort will have Spa Kalahari & Salon, what the resort bills as a first-class spa that will include a sauna, whirlpool, and a Halotherapy Salt room all made to relax the body and mind.

Kalahari really takes its theme seriously, even bringing in art straight from Cape Town to really sell the experience of an African vacation just up Interstate 35 from the seat of Lone Star Government.

The Kalahari Round Rock resort will bring a new tourism dynamic to this already rich tourism area and is slated to open to guests on November 12.
